RR 21: The Circus Comes to Ferguson, Missouri

After an almost 10 hour delay, prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch from St. Louis, Missouri announced that the grand jury investigating the shooting death of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old, decided not indict police officer Darren Wilson. The ruling set off a wave of protests and rioting in the city of Ferguson that has lasted several days.

Mike and I discuss the circus-like atmosphere surrounding these unfortunate events and how the outrage over similar police shootings is building across the country.

Now, a not-so-gentle reminder that one should NEVER underestimate the power of a stand-up comic!

Bill-Cosby-head-bowed-11-17As the number of accusations from women claiming he drugged and raped them continues to climb, Bill Cosby and his legal team relentlessly and aggressively deny the allegations. Despite the denials, NBC and Netflix have pulled out of deals with the legendary entertainer and several of his stand-up performances have been cancelled. Comedian Hannibal Buress’ bit calling Cosby a rapist went viral recently reigniting interest in the abuse claims against “America’s Dad”.
